For a more unconventional workout, how does bouncing around on trampolines sound? Trampolining is a fantastic exercise, providing a vigorous aerobic workout, and Gravity adds to the fun with foam pits, basketball hoops and trampolines on the walls, ensuring you’ll be bouncing off every surface! If you’re not too much of a sports lover and don’t fancy doing anything competitive, this is a great way to get active with a group of friends, all the while laughing yourself silly! Check them out at Riverside Leisure Complex.
Pub and Paddle, Near Red Lion Pub, NR1
Ok, yes, this might be a bit of a stretch, but canoeing is a legitimate sport, so we think this counts! Pub and paddle offers would be river-goers the chance to paddle down the Wensum river, stopping off at a number of pubs along the way, hence the name! Canoeing provides an excellent upper body workout, and while we imagine you won’t be gunning it as if you’re in pursuit of a gold medal, you’ll still work up a sweat if you keep up a reasonable pace. The reward of a cool beverage after each leg should be more than enough motivation to keep going. Check out their website to book.
Highball Climbing Centre, Twickenham Road, NR6
